Bio Sketch
Rachel
Sutcliffe has suffered from a serious immune disorder for over 15
years, throughout this time writing has been her therapy, keeping her
from going insane. She is an active member of the British Haiku Society
and has been published in various journals including Shamrock, Lynx, Frogpond and The Heron’s Nest.
L1 sets the scene/theme for the poem while the unexpected yet visually and emotionally powerful L3 lifts the poem out of the ordinary.
ReplyDeleteLovely, Rachel - hints at Keats "season of mists and mellow fruitfulness."
