Bio Sketch

Born in Washington, D.C. in 1941, Ed Baker was an artist and poet who resided in Washington, D.C. He had published over 2500 watercolors, 75,000 poems, and 500 3-d pieces, and he died after surgery on 28 March 2016. Full Moon and Stone Girl E-pic are two of his recent titles.   1. In Ed's minimalist haiku of 3 one-word lines and 6 syllables, the unusual yet visually and emotionally interesting juxtaposition of tulip and snow offers three different readings:

    tulip/surprising snow,
    or tulip surprising/snow,
    or tulip surprising snow.
