Dan
Iulian, a Romanian haiku poet, currently works as senior researcher in
Bucharest. Since 2011, he has won many awards and honourable mentions
for haiku in English, French, Italian and Romanian languages. His work
was published in various magazines and anthologies in Romania and
abroad.
In this timely, sociopolitically conscious haiku, the contrast between the man-made national boundary and the borderless sky is thematically significant and visually and emotionally poignant.
