Bio Sketch

A A Marcoff is an Anglo-Russian poet, born in Iran, who has lived in Africa, Iran, France and Japan. He is a much-published mainstream poet as well as a writer of tanka. He lives near the beautiful River Mole in Surrey, England.

  1. A A Marcoff's minimalist tanka effectively builds, poetic phrase/line by poetic phrase/line, to a visually and thematically powerfully ending that reveals the transformative power of prayers. And he builds this power by decreasing syllables with each line.
