Note:  Today is Canadian Thanksgiving Day (occurring on the second Monday in October and six weeks earlier than American Thanksgiving Day).  And the 2019 Canadian federal election is scheduled to take place on October 21 (See more haiku and tanka about Thanksgiving Day).
