Bio Sketch
Jan Benson was a Pushcart Prize nominated haiku poet. Her haiku were published in many of the world's leading haiku journals and magazines. L1 depicts a poor rural village scene at dusk/in decline while the symbolically rich and aurally evocative image of Ls 2&3, insects (crickets, bringers of good luck and wealth) knitting/connecting the names of the lost, offers a glimpse of revival.
