Bio Sketch

Carol Jones lives and works on a farm in one of the South Wales valleys, UK. Although she hasn't the time to get involved in the wider environmental issues, she does document her own environment as she goes about her work.

  1. Enhanced by the quick pace of a one-line form, the symbolically rich juxtaposition of winter wind moaning through the "churchyard" and flying "ravens" makes this haiku noir visually and emotionally effective.

    And it could be read as a sequel to Carol's haiku below written on All Souls' Day:

    a mist shrouded silhouette
