Bio Sketch

Olivier Schopfer lives in Geneva, Switzerland. He likes to capture the moment in haiku and photography. His work has appeared in The Red Moon Anthology of English-Language Haiku 2014 and in numerous online and print journals, such as Acorn, Bones, bottle rockets, bras bell, Chrysanthemum, Issa's Untidy Hut, moongarlic E-zine, Presence, and Under the Basho. He also writes articles in French about etymology and everyday expressions:

  1. L1 establishes the thematic context of the poem while Olivier's use of italicized letters in L2 effectively conveys the narrator's state of mood through the image of "swaying" poppies

  2. I really enjoyed this creative haiku Olivier. What an interesting use of italics. Congratulations on having it published here.
