Hot News: Chen-ou Liu, Featured Poet on Coviews (北美枫)

My Dear Friends:

With great pleasure I would like to share with you a piece of good news: My bilingual haiku and tanka were featured on the prominent literary website Coviews (北美枫), edited by Chinese Canadian poet Anna Yin  Mississauga’s Inaugural Poet Laureate and the co-host of the 2017 Haiku Canada Conference.

Aegean shore ...
soaked teddy bear
and dead child

a bull's horns
sharpened by the winter wind
high school dropout

home alone
listening
to snowlight

one day
after the eviction
a whitewashed room
and four nail holes
in the wall, in my heart

go back
to where you came from ...
a yellow leaf
tossing and turning
with each gust of wind

Many thanks for your continued support of my writing

Happy Reading!

All the best for 2017

Chen-ou

Note: Another two pieces of good news I got at the end of 2016:

My tanka below won a honorable mention in the 2016 San Francisco International Competition for Haiku, Senryu, Tanka and Rengay. This is my 97th award.

after retirement

is dipped deeper
in Chinese ink

And my haiku below will be included in the forthcoming annual anthology, Dust Devils: The Red Moon Anthology of English-Language Haiku 2016:

flood of moonlight ...
the drip, drip, drip
of her lingerie
