Bio Sketch
Angelo
B. Ancheta lives in Rizal, Philippines. His haiku and other poems have
appeared in various journals and anthologies both in print and online.
He also writes fiction, some of which have won prizes in contests. He
believes that writing complements object-oriented programming, which he
does in daytime.
Combined with the effective use of personification, the emotionally resonant juxtaposition of "evening rain" and the "sound of solitude" makes this haiku psychologically effective.
