Bio Sketch
Michael O’Brien lives in Glasgow Scotland. His work has appeared in Shamrock, Hedgerow, Failed Haiku, Modern Haiku, Blue and Yellow dog, Otoliths et.al He is the author of As Adam (UP Literature, 2012). He was also a runner-up in the Mainichi Daily News Haiku Contest in 2009.
A joyful and heartwarming moment is keenly captured in this multi-sensory haiku composed for an instrumental soloist, a blackbird (European thrush) playing every bough.
