Bio Sketch 

Sharon Rhutasel-Jones is the author of Living by Ear: a Memoir of a Wayward Teacher and The Teacher Who Learned from Cats which she wrote after retiring from teaching for 52 years.  She lives with her husband and two cats in the village of Los Ranchos, New Mexico.

  1. L1 sets the scene while combined with the image of drifting clouds in Ls 2&3, "only" effectively adds emotional weight to the poem.
