Claire Vogel Camargo, author of Iris Opening, an ekphrastic collection, has poems in Blithe Spirit, Brass Bell, Cattails, Lifting the Sky: Southwestern Haiku & Haiga, Presence, Texas Poetry Calendar, World Haiku Review, others. She is a member of the Austin Poetry Society Board of Directors and British Haiku Society.
L1 sets the scene while Claire's choice of a verb, "weighing," in L2 adds emotional weight and visual significance to the haiku.
