Bio Sketch

Ludmila Balabanoba lives in Sofia, Bulgaria. She is a computer engineer and has a Ph.D. in literature. Her books include eight collections of poetry (three of them haiku books) and a book of criticism on haiku. Her haiku and haiku books have won prestigious awards.

  1. Combined with the use of blank spaces for delayed gratification, the jux. of "desire" and "spring rain" makes this sensual haiku visually and emotionally effective.
