Bio Sketch

Terri L. French is an author, editor and haiku poet living in Huntsville, Alabama. She serves on the Board of Directors of The Haiku Foundation and is past Southeast Regional Coordinator for The Haiku Society of America. Terri is the former editor of Prune Juice  and was recently added to the editorial team of the online journal Haibun Today.

  1. The opening line sets the theme while the unexpected yet "lovely" last line effectively enhances the "hai" aspect of the haiku. And the image of moving from sun patch to sun patch makes this dog haiku visually appealing.

  2. Agreed. This is a beautiful poem. For me, there is also a very subtle but powerful "Southern" feeling in this piece.
