Bio Sketch

Elizabeth Fanto is in her eighties and late coming to writing haiku. In  her seventies, she was a co-founder of the Haiku Poets of Central Maryland for ten years, and she has taught haiku basics to learning-in-retirement students. None of the above are published pieces.

  1. L1 sets the scene while unexpected yet thematically and emotionally poignant surprise in L3 makes L1 an ironically effective symbol of an empty relationship/love.

    FYI: "Satin sheets are typically considerably more expensive than their cotton brethren. This is as a result of the work that goes into making them, as well as the more expensive materials from which satin sheets are often made. And it's said satin sheets are best to sleep in since they're not overly hot nor overly cool."
