Bio Sketch

Lucia Cardillo lives in Rodi Garganico (Foggia) Italia with her husband and two sons. She began writing haiku in July 2016 and never stopped since then. Her haiku have been published in various online and print  journals, such as The Mainichi, The Asahi, Otata, Failed Haiku, Haikuniverse, THF, Brass Bell, Stardust, Under the BashoWales Haiku Jounal, etc.

  1. Figs are plentiful, their trees sprouting bi-yearly crop, and in literature/art, they connote "abundance."

    Evaluated in the thematic context of an intimate relationship with one's love/partner, which is hinted at by Ls 2&3, the contrasts, emotional and symbolic, between L1 and Ls 2&3 are poignantly effective, adding emotional weigh and psychological depth to the haiku.
