Bio Sketch

Brad Bennett has published two collections of haiku with Red Moon Press. a drop of pond (2016) won a Touchstone Distinguished Book Award from the Haiku Foundation, and a turn in the river (2019) was shortlisted for a Touchstone Award. Brad has taught haiku to children and adults for over twenty years.

  1. Enhanced by the use of hyperbole (L2), the jux. of visually evocative and symbolically rich "off-trail" and numerous woodpeckers shows the real/untamed natural world off the trail/the well-worn path.

    And it might be interesting to do a comparative reading of the following haiku:

    wilderness trail
    he wanders off the edge
    of his map
