  1. L1 sets the scene and mood while unexpected yet thematically significant and visually and emotionally evocative L3 shows the strength of a parent-child relationship.

    Due to "windswept" in L1, the quality of the voice in L2 is not good. But, does it matter to the speaker and his/her father?

    And it might be interesting to do a comparative reading of the following haiku:

    summer squall
    my smart phone asks me
    to repeat myself
