Bio Sketch

After retiring from practicing law, S. M. Kozubek spends more time now writing poems.   1. This haiku, bookended by "winter" "thaw" and "spring" "off-leash," vividly depicts a joyful scene of "winter" thaw, looking and feeling like that of "spring" thaw: the dog (with no leash) and the speaker (with no constraints/worries) running, jumping happily.

    And my haiku below could be read as a prequel to Kozubek's:

    steady fall of snow
    the silence between me
    and my old dog
