Bio Sketch
Sanford Goldstein has published tanka for more than fifty years. He was born in 1925 and passed away in May 2023. Long ago, he wrote haiku, but decided to focus on tanka. His latest books, three in the last two years, have each said this would be his last.
Ls 1&2 depict a multisensorily evocative rural scene while Ls 3-5 reveal the N's view of life: finding meaning/joy (L3) in "the simplicity of life" (which is symbolized by that "diagonal/long crack" on the wall, Ls 4&5)
