Israel's oldest daily now sanctioned by the Israeli government, Haaretz, April 16: We Cannot Turn a Blind Eye' | Dozens of Members of British Jewish Establishment Publicly Decry War in Gaza
Dozens of members of the representative body of British Jewry on Wednesday publicly condemned Israel's war in Gaza, warning that "Israel's soul is being ripped out" by its "extremist" government.
"Silence is seen as support for policies and actions that run contrary to our Jewish values," read the open letter published in the Financial Times that was signed by 36 members of the Board of Deputies of British Jews.

FYI: Haaretz, April 21: Killing of Gaza Paramedics Proves Some IDF Claims Are Just Alternative Facts
"Last month's killing of 15 rescue workers in Rafah was a window through the smoke. It revealed what the IDF has tried to hide – that its reports about 'terrorists,' 'terrorist infrastructure,' and 'fighting' are exaggerations in the best case and utter lies in the worst… One might accept the IDF's explanation that this happened because of a mistake in understanding the operational circumstances or because the force felt threatened. But a simpler explanation can be found in recorded remarks by the commander of the force operating in Tel al-Sultan that night: 'Everyone you encounter is an enemy. If you see someone, you destroy him'"
'No Access to Life-saving Services' | Gaza's Humanitarian Crisis at Its Worst Since War Began, With Thousands of Children Severely Malnourished, UN Says
UN agencies warn of famine, disease and irreversible harm to Gaza's children as Israel blocks aid and shuts down humanitarian corridors, forcing hundreds of thousands into overcrowded shelters with no access to clean water, food or medical care
According to the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, 3,696 children were admitted to hospitals for acute malnutrition out of 91,769 children screened − up sharply from 2,027 out of 83,823 the previous month.
These figures do not include the first two weeks of April, but it is likely the situation has further deteriorated. Aid organizations have been forced to shut down 60 percent of their malnutrition treatment centers in Gaza, either due to evacuation orders from the Israel Defense Forces or ongoing military activity. The number of children receiving critical nutritional supplements dropped by 70 percent in March.
