This quiet and restrained tanka captures a clear image, Ls 1&2, a pause, L3, and an emotional turn, Ls 4&5.
ReplyDeleteAnd L5, which has the most weight, is delicate and consistent with the emotionally evocative imagery of clouds in L1. And “wisp” echoes visually and tonally — that’s a nice internal resonance.
