Bio Sketch
Stjepan Rozic was born in 1946 in Ivanic Grad, Croatia where he now lives. So far he has published two collections of haiku and co-authored three collections of haiku. He has written haiku for twenty years and received a number of awards in Croatia and abroad.
This imagistic poem is a good example of modern haiku (one-axis/horizontal haiku) that are "monologic, a single voice describing or responding to a scene or experience" (Haruo Shirane, Traces of Dreams, p. 15)
