Modeled on traditional Japanese tanka, this evocative poem is made up of five poetic phrases (equivalent to five ku of 5-7-5-7-7) and structured into two parts (the opening statement and the closing image) with a pivot (L3). And there is a thematically and emotionally dialectical relationship effectively established between the two parts of the poem.
