Enhanced by symbolic richness of "butterfly and moon," the contrasts (visual, symbolic, tonal...) between the two parts of the haiku are poignantly effective, leaving dreaming room for the reader's imagination. And the sentiment of this fine haiku reminds me of the one conveyed in Shiki's sickbed haiku about wisteria flowers.
