Bio Sketch
Ed Bremson is an award-winning haiku poet, published recently in the journals Prune Juice, Haigaonline, and Frogpond, as well as in the Japanese newspapers Asahi Shimbun and Mainichi Daily. In 2017-2018 he was three times Haiku Master of the Week, NHK World, Japanese TV. Ed lives in Raleigh, NC, USA.
L1 sets the theme and mood, while enhanced by the zoom-in technique, the visually evocative and symbolically rich image of a flitting butterfly in Ls 2&3 makes this funeral haiku emotionally effective.
