Bio Sketch
Tia Haynes is a New Resonance poet whose love of haiku stems from a place of gratitude. Her work has appeared in journals, such as The Heron's Nest, Modern Haiku, and Frogpond. She currently resides in Ohio.
Visually evocative and symbolically rich L1, "snowdrops," not only sets the seasonal context and mood of this middle-of-the-story haiku, but also works well on three levels: literal, emotional, and figurative (foreshadowing of the result of the statement in Ls 2&3).
