Bio Sketch 

Simon Hanson lives in sub-tropical Queensland, Australia where he enjoys his proximity to the Pacific Ocean and areas of rainforest.  He is a committee member of the Australian Haiku Society and is published in various journals and anthologies.

  1. L1 sets the scene while fresh and multi-sensory Ls 2&3 lift the poem out of the or ordinary.

    This riveting multi-sensory two-line haiku is highly cinematic, and it reads more like a poetic rendering of an establishing shot of a movie.
